Vacation

We took the kids to Frankenmuth, Michigan for a few days to get away. This is absolutely one of my favorite pictures! It was really a beautiful place and we saw a lot when we where there. The kids were tired every night and were ready to go each morning! I would love to go back without the kids, I think JJ and I could have explored the place for hours. It has so many unique shops and places to explore. Sit back and enjoy the blog... I have been blogging for a few hours now just to get caught up. We have been very busy these past couple of weeks!
The picture says it all...

The Meyer Trio off and exploring!

Stuffed Animals

This is one serious stuffed animal...the Frankenmoose!

Heidi doesn't fear it one bit!

Cole found a different moose!

They really thought we needed this "kitty" for our house....no kiddos!

Bronner's Christmas Wonderland

We took the kids to Bronner's. If you are not familiar with the store, it is the world's largest year-around Christmas store with 2.2 acres (1.7 football fields) of Christmas deals! Mommy and Daddy have visited the store several times....it is one of Mommy's favorites! Here are some stats: over 2 million guests visit annually with Thanksgiving weekend being one of there busiest times (50,000 guests). Over a million guests have viewed the "World of Bronner's". This place employs over 600 people! It is truly an amazing place and you can't begin to leave empty handed! The kids were really amazed with everything... we gave them piggy back rides so they couldn't touch. It was rough shopping, but worth seeing their eyes light up at the sight! We love you Bronner's Christmas Wonderland! Oh yeh - here is their motto: "Enjoy CHRISTmas, it's HIS birthday; Enjoy LIFE, it's HIS way!" What a perfect message...

Snowmen in July

Heidi, I think you put some weight on?

Andy, is that you in there?

Cole loves snowmen so when he saw this he insisted on pictures!

Putt-Putt

We found a nice little course to visit on vacation. We only got about 12 holes in before the rain started, but the kids really loved it! It was surprising to see how much Andy and Heidi got into it!

Heidi got her first hole in one in this picture. She was dancing and screaming! It was hilarious! She got about 5 or 6 before the rain hit. Cole claimed it wasn't legit because I was helping her get them. She thought she was a pro at the game!

Cole had been golfing before so he was already an expert at the sport. He ended up having a few hole in ones as well. He really wanted to keep golfing even if it was raining, but it poured pretty hard so we had to get out of there!

Hey - where did it go?

Free Zoo

You gotta love being a member of the Toledo Zoo. We get to check out other zoos for free all summer long. This was a small zoo in Saginaw. It was beautifully landscaped! The kids enjoyed the quick visit and seeing some animals along the way. Mommy enjoyed walking through a butterfly house even though the kids totally didn't like the experience one tiny bit!

These were the most active penguins we have ever seen. They were jumping in the water and play and talking. The kids thought they were pretty funny!

I think my little monkeys are looking tired... vacation is rough!

Heidi finally got to ride on a merry-go-round. She had been begging for the opportunity and really thought this was great until it stopped! She could have rode all day...

Hotel Pool

The hotel pool was small but perfect for our family! We always went down early enough so we had the whole thing to ourselves. Mommy introduced Heidi to the joys of a "hot pool". We brought toys along for the kids and everyone had a good time swimming!

Notice....no Andy....

He would rather not actually get in the pool. He would for brief moments and then get right back out! By the last night, he was finally staying in for more than 1 minute at a time!

You need some sun on that white belly!
