Summer with the Trio
Allstars-2011
Cole made the Allstar baseball team this year. He was terribly excited about making the team. They played in three tournaments for 11 days straight. It was alot on the boys, but they made us proud. We didn't place at all for the Montpelier tournament, we were 4th in the Edgerton tournament, and we would have been 3rd or 4th in Hicksville's Tournament, but they didn't award anything but 1st and 2nd place trophies...bummer!
Cole is glad to be done for the year, but still talks about playing Allstars next year....he never stops!
When you are in Allstars, you become professional. You get your name on the back of your shirt and Cole decided that he needed "colored" socks. Mommy assumed that meant either Maroon or Gold socks, but Cole quickly informed me that it meant one maroon and one gold sock. He was the only player that felt the need to be different, so Grandma named him "Chief Two Socks". It was rather nice, it only took a quick moment to find out which position he was playing!

Jason & Laura's Wedding
We attended a very special wedding in July. Our good friend, Jason got married to a very beautiful Princess named Laura. Heidi was all about the princesses (bridesmaids) and princes (groomsmen). She will be really impressed next year when Uncle Brandon and Lee Ann tie the knot! Congrats Jason & Laura!
Before we headed to the reception, we stopped at Toys-R-Us to check out the toys. Andy at the wheel....ahhhhh!

Summer Happenings
In other news, Cole took two weeks of swimming lessons this summer. He took lessons back when it was chilly...kinda hard to remember that now! He did pretty well, but we still have a long way to go until he is fully swimming. I guess next year, I put all three in!
One day, Mommy declared it puzzle day. We had a goal of doing enough puzzles that the boxes would touch the ceiling. It took us several hours and over 30 puzzles, but we managed it. Yep, my kids have this many puzzles!
My two goof balls...they had a rough summer at the ball park. We probably averaged 4 nights a week from the middle of May until the middle of July. They made friends with another set of twins and really played quite well with them. Good thing for magnetic activity books and coloring books!
Air Show
We loaded up the vehicle and headed to Battle Creek to watch an amazing air show over the July 4th weekend. The kids liked watching the planes and relaxing under the canopy. It was a long day, but well worth the time and money to see planes doing crazy things in the sky.
Daddy took no less than 1000 pictures that weekend!
It is amazing the stunts they did. For example, we watched a person stand on top of a plane flying in the air. I don't think that should be tried at home!
To end the air show, we got to see the "Blue Angels" take flight. Six jets at one time was awesome! I recommend this show to anyone...it was loud but you just cannot put into words what you saw. Cole, Heidi, and Andy got to meet some of the pilots and got there autographs, too. What a great day...The Sprinkler
In a moment of weakness, Mommy told the kids to go run through the sprinkler. I really didn't think they would do it... I was wrong!
The boys at least took their shirts off...
Mom, I am wet and cold, but that was sure fun! They have been begging to run through it again!
Fireworks Celebration
We once again headed to Hog Hill in Hamilton to watch fireworks for the 4th of July. It was a stormy night so we actually ended up watching them from the car... way too much lightning for Mommy's liking! On the way there, we did get to see this double rainbow. It was stunning!
Daddy brought home his camera from work to capture these photos. He really thinks we need a camera like this now!
I have to admit, it does capture some really awesome pics.
Even though they shot them up fast, it was still worth it!
Let's Go Racin!
This year we took Papa & Cole to Eldora Motor Speedway for a Nascar Charity Race. It was sooo much fun that I am pretty sure it will become an every year tradition. Cole's favorite driver is Jimmie Johnson so this picture was a must. We never saw Jimmie in person because we were not close enough to the stage when they were all introduced...maybe next year!
Where are you, Jimmie? If you were lucky enough, you could catch sight of the drivers standing near their semi trailers. We did get to see Kyle Busch and Kasey Kahne standing on top of their semis watching some racing on the track. Cole thought that was awesome!
Cole had never been to a race at all before so I really wish I would have captured his expression when they fired up there engines and started racing on the dirt track. Mommy is a huge fan of dirt track racing because it is just so much fun to watch them slipping and sliding all over the track. Cole just was in totally awe and said very little... hard to imagine him speechless, isn't it?
It was a hot day, but a cool night for racing. We loaded our stomachs up with concession food and got home in the wee hours of the morning. Jimmie didn't win the race, but Cole still had a great time watching him.

School Year 2010/2011
This was a picture from Cole's first day of school...
and his last day of 1st Grade.
During the awards ceremony, Mrs. Taylor gives him recognition for his hard work and putting up with having his Mommy for a teacher all year.
We celebrated passing 1st grade with an ice cream cake...yummy!
Fun with Our Friends
We did attend a very important 60th birthday celebration for our very dear friend, Doug. It was an outdoor party made for children! We played, ate, did some crazy things, and just plain had fun. Here are Doug's grandkids with our three additions. Cole would be the oldest at 7. Not all the kids were in this picture either....way to much energy in all those kiddos! Thanks for having us...we love you guys!
They had an inflatable...Heidi was in love! I wish I would have taken a picture at the end of the night of how dirty, messy, and absolutely exhausted she was. It was picture perfect!
Andy loved it too! He never had shown much love for this kind of thing before, but soon changed his mind about it once he was let loose!
Cole enjoyed the watery fun! He would run from one side of the lawn to the other with no fear. I am sure he gained a few new bruises from flopping himself down!
Misc. Pictures
Imagine an "M" on the rock and it would make this picture much better. This spring we bought the Mickey & Minnie and the kids each made their own stepping stone. To say the very least, there is still no "M" on the rock. It is on that "To Do List" that never gets completed.
In May, the school took a fieldtrip to Antwerp. Our principal has a friend who goes on very extravagant hunts. I find his house really creepy because there are stuffed animals everywhere... Cole was a little nervous too, but I did manage a couple of pictures.
Cole thought the zebra was pretty neat. I couldn't get him to stand by the fully stuffed lion!
Heidi has been working at staying dry at night. After completing the task for 2 nights in a row she was awarded with this Cinderella. On a side note, Cinderella had been sitting on top of the toilet in the bathroom for quite some time. I often would find her turned around facing the wall. When I questioned the kids, they were clueless so I questioned my husband. He confided in me that he was the person turning her around because she was "disturbing him". Thus, we now have a Polly Pocket in her place! She hasn't been turned around yet...ha...ha! As you can see, Andy was very proud of her!
