Frosty the Snowman

I don't know how much more I will get posted this week, but here is wishing all of our blog watchers a Very Merry Christmas and the Greatest New Year Eve. We are very blessed to have all of you in our lives, and we are very grateful that you keep tabs on us! Sit back and enjoy this very "unique" holiday greeting...Meyer Trio Style!

Snowman

The recent snow hasn't been able to make the first snowman of the year... we are probably letting down our neighbors in the addition! Instead, everyday we watch our favorite "Frosty the Snowman". The kids should be able to recite the movie by heart soon!

Daddy was playing on the etch-a-sketch the other night!

First Snow 2009

We got our first snow and took advantage of it Saturday morning! It was beautiful outside....awe....Christmas is truly coming, now!

Frosty feels better about the situation!

Andy, the helper, shovels the drive!

Geez, Andy ditched the shovel for the mower! No green grass, Buster!

Cole gets ready to give Heidi and Andy a ride!

Heidi cleans off the bush!

Heidi loves the snow! She never wants to come in from playing!

The three played well together so Mommy and Daddy could shovel the drive and the neighbors as well.

Misc. Shots

Tessa was having a really good time playing in the playhouse!

All smiles....much better than dramatic tears!

Life is rough around this house!

Gotta make a perfect design!

The "Big 6"

Cole requested this Snoopy cake for his birthday.

Cole loved the kids version of Sequence but has really outgrown it. G-ma & G-pa Meyer got him the adult version....yeh, Mommy and Daddy can play a little more challenging game!

Wenkinz are "all the rage" in our house. Cole got three for his birthday. They are named "Bill" the Pelican (shown), "Moe" the Moose, and "Eddie" the Bulldog. Thanks for all the webkinz. Now "Alex" the horse isn't lonely anymore!

After Cole finished up his presents, Natalie and Oliver Seibert got to break into a couple. Sorry we missed your party, Natalie and Oliver!

More Birthday Pictures

Is that a new sled? Now we need time to use it!

The Seibert's got Cole a watch....now we tackle time. Mommy hates teaching time to her first graders. This might become Daddy's job!

Cole tried his best to read the cards. He actually could read somethings if he would just take the time to sound words out!

Sparky got some pajamas and slippers! Cole can't wait to go shopping and buy him more clothes!

Build-A-Bear

Cole celebrated his 6th birthday on Saturday, December 12th. We all got up early in the morning, had some breakfast, dropped Heidi and Andy off at G-ma & Papa's, and headed to Fort Wayne. Cole was told he was having a special day with Mommy & Daddy. He didn't realize that he was going to get his special birthday present that day too. We went straight to "Build-a-Bear" and Cole picked a special friend to make. In this picture, he is pushing the pedal so that his friend gets "stuffed".

He warmed his buddy's heart and gave it a kiss before sticking it in. I don't know if you have ever been to this store but it really is a wonderful place for children. Cole really enjoyed his time there and our "helper" was awesome!

After picking out clothes, you sit down and "adopt" your friend. Cole is really good at the computer so we just told him what to do, and he filled in most of the questions.

Meet "Sparky", he is the newest addition to our family. Mommy and Daddy would tell you this is the best dog ever! Sparky is sporting a "racing shirt" and jeans. He also got a hat and scarf for the brisk winter weather. Oh yes, don't forget the Skecher's...don't all dogs wear those?

Visit with Santa

After St. Mary's concert, we got to take our turn visiting Santa. Cole had a very long list to recite to Santa!

Heidi checked him out for a minute then told Santa she wants a purple present. She has stuck to that story for weeks now.... I like her simple 3 yr. old approach to Christmas!

Santa told Heidi to wave to G-ma and Papa... she was astonished that Santa knew G-ma and Papa's name. They must be on the "good list"!

Andy wasn't going to sit on Santa's lap, but we talked him into it. He also told Santa that he wanted presents. Santa told him that he thought he might get some if he keeps being good. I think Santa should check his list a third time when it comes to that stinker!

Christmas Programs

We had two back to back nights of Christmas concerts. First was St. Mary's Schools which is held in the church. Mommy was never so glad when the concert was finished. All the teachers put alot of work into making this a success. Cole, Heidi, and Andy went with Daddy and tried there very best to be good....really hard! Mommy had to run the sound system with another teacher so she kept an eye out from the balcony. Cousin Josh is a dot up there.....Happy Birthday Jesus!

Then we had Cole's concert the next night. We were entertained with songs sung by K-2 students. They did a very nice job, and Cole was really into it. He seemed to know most of the words and was totally "on top of the motions". This concert made Mommy think that next year he will be singing in the church in St. Mary's Program. We just can't wait!
