Father's Day Project

While on vacation, we found a project to make for Papa McCool. Here is Heidi after she completed her third!

The finished project... we were pretty impressed with our efforts! Heidi is the red hand, Cole is the big blue print, and Andy is the yellow! Everytime Papa wears the shirt, Heidi and Andy have to tell people about their "paw prints"!

Vacation 2009

Sometimes, we just turn into crazy people... we headed out for a mini vacation with the kids. We had a really good time, but we were sure happy to see home again! Here are the highlights... enjoy! We visited a train muesum on our way to the Indiana State Dunes. It was a nice little place that offered train rides on 4 different trains. They were nice long trips through wooded areas. The kids really enjoyed it! They were all steam engines and this is the biggest one that we took a ride on!
Our two trouble makers!

Taking a little ride... they could hardly wait until each train took off!

Andy smiled the whole time we were there. He is at the age were trains are the coolest things on earth!

A picnic in the train yard. It was truly a beautiful day and the kids just loved having picnics in the park!

Misc. Vacation Pics

This is one way to corral Andy!

Night time snack in bed... this never happens at home!

Cole was pretty worn out at the end of each day!

My little snuggly bug!

Cole really enjoyed vacation... as long as we kept him busy!

Vacations are Great!

We visited Lake Michigan so we could play on the beach. Andy insisted it was an ocean not a lake. It was a beautiful afternoon to play at the beach. We didn't take a swim... water was quite chilly! Everyone played and enjoyed a little fun in the sun!

Cole checks the water out. He especially loved the beach. He played at the waters edge the whole time learning how to skip rocks into the water!

That is one extremely happy Cole!

Andy helped make sand castles with Daddy. Mostly, he knocked them down while Daddy built them up!

Just a priceless picture...

Swimming Pool Fun!

The evening down at the pool started like this... Daddy went swimming, Mommy relaxed in the whirlpool and Heidi, Andy, and Cole freaked out about the water!

This is how Cole sat most of the time we spent swimming. He finally decided to get in for a brief few minutes before we headed back to our room. It was a stressful evening for him!

After we convinced Andy to get in the pool, he was good to go... quite happy!

Sis also enjoyed it after much coaxing. She played on the stairs for a long time.

Zoo Pictures

We visited two zoos on our vacation. The kids just loved seeing all the animals while Mommy and Daddy complained about not getting to see any giraffes, elephants, seals, hippos, or rhinos. We had a good time though... here are some random animals we discovered!

A little too close for comfort, I think!

The kids scared the peacock into displaying its colors!

Hello, kitty!

Here is one beautiful Macaw...

You could feed the fish... want to try fishing in this stream?

This is some type of African cow.. I would have a major headache if I had that load to carry!

Mr. Camel, do you spit?

VBS

Cole attended Vacation Bible School this past week. He was very eager to go each day. He really did a great job singing for the program on Friday. This picture gives you a good view of the children who attended. Cole is in the front row with the maroon/gold stripped shirt. Pictures in the church tend not to turn out the best...sorry!

He is off to receive his certificate for attending "camp". Looking closely you will see that he is walking over to Aunt Karen for his certificate. She was his VBS teacher this year... funny how things work! Thanks Aunt Karen for teaching me more about Jesus!

Togetherness

The "Stinkers" have been hiding under Heidi's bed lately... caught in the act!

Mommy picked up these great aprons at the Dollar Tree. What a great deal for a dollar a piece! Two super chefs in the making!

They can't hardly wait to hit the basement to do some fine country cooking in their cottage!

Cousin Jack Turns 1!

We ventured to Cousin Jack's house this weekend for a birthday party. He turned the ripe old age of 1! He enjoyed a cupcake to celebrate his big milestone!

Jack investigates the presents... this happened after a little "Bockey" family tradition. They set out a piece of wood and placed a bible on one end, a bottle of alcohol on the opposite end, and money in the middle. Then they put Jack back quite a ways and made him crawl to his "destination in life". He went straight to the money, then checked out the liquor, and finally picked up the bible. We decided that after becoming rich he is going to turn the bottle for a good time and then repent his sins thru the bible!

Jack got a wagon for his birthday... he was a bit anxious to take it for a spin!

We got Jack this lawn mower... he seemed to like it! Now he just has to start taking those steps so he can follow Daddy around mowing the lawn! We will be waiting to see that picture on your blog Aunt Bridget!

More Birthday Pictures

Cole waits for cake.... All good parties include cake and ice cream!

Andy digs in.... Don't cut it, Daddy! I do it!

Check out that tongue... Yum!

Uncle Jeff and Aunt Bridget have ducks that live behind their house. The kids loved watching the ducks... Heidi was very concerned when she couldn't find them!

Kittens Are Great!

The kids got to visit with G-ma & G-pa Meyer while Mommy cleaned up her classroom. The kittens were a big hit that day! Daddy assured the kids that they will always be at G-ma & G-pa's but never at our house!

With those two glaring at you, I would squirm too!
