My babies are growing...

Today, Heidi and Andy officially are two years old. That got Mom thinking about how life passes you by. I had to pull up some old pictures of the kids from when they were little and nearly always good. You know, when they couldn't walk, talk, or get in trouble for anything that just mysteriously happens in your house! Now, they just point fingers at each other... wouldn't give them up for the world! Enjoy the ride down memory lane! Who is this cute little boy? He just turned 5 last month!

I hardly remember this age with the twins. A mother of twins once told me that I wouldn't really remember the first couple of years. I think I understand what she was saying now. Oh, how they have changed... they are so much fun now!

Party Preparations

In just a few hours my two munchkins turn TWO! Hard to believe, trust me I know. In honor of their party on Sunday, Daddy came home early from work today to build them a "Frosty" for their b-day guests. Andy and Heidi adore Frosty... they watched the movie until we couldn't stand it anymore and they read the book several times a day... actually they know quite a few words to the song! As a side note, if you look really closely "Frosty" has a pipe that he is smoking to get through the upcoming frigid weather!

What really happens at the Meyer house?

Some of you might really wonder what happens behind closed doors at the Meyer house.... well, I shall tell you! This week packed more excitement than the normal week. Andy decided on Tuesday evening to roll down 3 steps. Grant it, he has rolled down more steps than this on a good day, but Tuesday evidently was marked as a not so good day for Andy! After knocking his head on the pavement, we finally got his crying under control to find that he really didn't want to put any weight on his right leg/foot. Nothing seemed to be swollen or bruised so we decided to put him in bed for the night and hope in the morning he would forgot he hurt himself!

Never fear, the plan did not work! Andy still would not put pressure on his leg/foot in the morning. In fact, he went as far as to tell Mommy in the morning "foot hurt"! Mommy gave in and called the doctor and set up an appointment. Papa McCool took Andy to meet up with Daddy at the doctor's office and after a few x-rays and some good old poking and prodding, the doctor decided nothing was broke just a sprain and maybe a pulled leg muscle. Yeh! Mornings are still a little rough until he gets going, but the limp is rather priceless. He seems nearly back to normal so tonight he decided to fall off a kitchen chair and knock his head on the floor!

He only has a few more days until he turns the "BIG 2".... the question is.... will he make it? How could he possibly hurt himself tomorrow evening? Only time will tell! This concludes my story of "what goes on behind closed doors".

Sledding Time!

Before the weather turned nasty cold, we ventured outside with everyone's snow gear on for some good old fashion sledding! Grandma & Papa McCool tagged along as well as Aunt Karen and Cousin Josh. We spent quite awhile over sledding down the double hill that Mommy grew up on. We are hoping that maybe we will be able to take advantage of the snow again before it all melts away!

Josh had to pose for a picture... he made it to the bottom with only one good push at the top!

Josh took a turn with Heidi... we found out very quickly that Heidi loves the snow and sledding! She went down the hill more than anyone. Andy spent most of his time with Aunt Karen at the top of the hill. If you ask him today about sledding, he would say that it was fun and he wants to go again. Too bad he only went down the hill a max of 3 times. One forced by Mommy and two with Aunt Karen!

This happens to be the one forced by Mommy! He cried and whined the whole way down! Yes, Cole went sledding too... he just spent most of his time running up and down the hill. I didn't even get a good picture of him sledding!

The day before we spent time playing outside and shoveling... once again, Heidi loved it and Andy cried and whined to go inside. We are really going to have to work on that situation. This is the new sled Heidi and Andy got for Christmas from G-ma & G-pa Meyer. Thanks - it really works great!

Sorry to all!

This is a major "I'm Sorry" for the lack of updates over the past month. In my defense, we didn't have the best month of December. We went through each child having a 3 -4 day fever, then we hit the stomach flu! Heidi was the only one who didn't get the stomach flu in our family. All these illnesses happened from December 10th until New Year's Day. We really don't want to repeat this Christmas Vacation anytime soon. Now we are trying to get over the cough and runny nose symptoms. Hopefully, we are nearing the end since all the nice, wonderful snow is screaming for us to come out and play. I hope you enjoy the updates on what we have been up to. We truly hope that everyone enjoyed their Christmas and New Year's celebrations!

We welcomed our first niece into the world on December 30th. Samantha Marie weighed

7 lbs. 4 oz. Mommy can't believe she weighed about the same as Heidi. She is terribly cute! Mommy and Daddy finally got to see her this past week.

Congratulations Uncle Jake, Aunt Holly, and Cousin Jesse!
