Hair Pretties

Cole decided to decorate everyone in hair pretties yesterday. Here are the lovely results!

Andy's clip was just barely hanging on. He really didn't care for his hair pretty at all!

Heidi seemed okay with hers. Mommy has tried torturing her with hair pretties before now. She must be getting use to them. Too bad her hair isn't quite ready yet!

Then Daddy got into the spirit, and put Heidi's hair into two very small pig tails. He claimed she looked cute. We definitely have a ways to go in this area!

Who are the twins in this family? Looking at this picture, someday they will definitely be marked as the pair!

Here is my oversized caterpillar wrapping up in his "Notre Dame" cocoon for the winter. If he would only turn into a butterfly, we would be into something!

Think "Spring"

I decorated my home for Easter and put out all of my "Think Spring" decor. This is what I have to show for it! Mother Nature surely did not pay very good attention! The tall tree in our backyard looked quite stunning this morning filled with snow... too bad it didn't last!

The kids swingset was weighed down with the "white stuff". What a beautiful sight!

Our Birthday Cake

We did celebrate our birthday with lots of friends and family. We had a great time being spoiled all day long!

Andy was all about trying to touch the candles and cake while Heidi was amazed that so many people were checking out just how pretty she was that day!

Update

We are growing and changing very quickly. We all have new tricks these days and new aches and pains. Mommy and Daddy have decided that they have some very talented children!
Heidi got this rocking unicorn for her birthday. It makes horse sounds when you press on its ear. Heidi thinks she is so big when she squeezes its ear and rocks back and forth. What a great investment Mommy made!

Andy is our expert walker/runner. Aunt Elizabeth, by this spring... I will run marathons with you. Oh thats right, you are taking a few months off so Heidi and I can have another playmate! Call me when you are ready to train again!

Cole is big into the holiday/birthday scene these days. We have celebrated 5 birthdays since the beginning of the year and we are preparing for our birthday marathon in March. Within the first ten days of March we will be celebrating 5 more birthdays. We also had to celebrate Valentine's day this year by sending Valentines cards. Such a big boy!

One Day in the Snow

Cole and Dad have lots of fun in the snow. This past snow they built a castle!

Cole beats the bushes to get the snow off of them. He has to busy himself somehow while Daddy does all the work!

The best investment....children's snow shovels. We currently have two so I need to work on a third one for next year. Then I can stand inside taking all the pictures while Daddy chases everyone around the yard!

Heidi and Andy enjoy watching Cole and Daddy out the big picture window. They slap and lick the window while trying to get Daddy and Cole to pay attention to them!

First Haircuts

We went to Kathy's for our first haircuts recently. Now we can see what color our children's eyes are! Andy got to go first. He started out like a really calm little boy. This lasted about 10 seconds.

He then got a bit sad and freaked at the same time! Check out how good that hair is lookin'!

Cutting around the ears is such agony! He made it through the whole ordeal and it may have to be another year until he goes back!

In all of the agony of Andy's haircut, Mommy forgot to take pictures of Heidi being her normal "drama queen" self. She may have even started crying before the first lock was cut off! She only had her bangs trimmed, but after watching Andy she already determined to cry while wiggling as much as possible. After all the drama, she did decide that Kathy was a-okay after all! Thanks Kathy - we love you!
